Commercial waste is waste generated by entities such as businesses, schools or government departments.
The City's waste collection services
If you are the owner of a commercial property, you may either use the City’s waste collection service or a private service provider.
If you are the owner of industrial property and produce special types of
hazardous waste, you must use private contractors to dispose of your waste. If you are the owner of a commercial property, you must apply to use the City’s waste collection services. Follow the City Connect link below to find out more about applying for non-residential waste collection services.
You will need to specify whether you need to dispose of your trade waste, and how often you need our service in the week. We also offer a special service (collection 3-5 times/week) for clients with greater waste disposal needs. We charge a different rate for this.

Commercial waste collection tariffs

Tariff Policy.
Private service providers
If you opt to use a private service provider to collect your waste, you will need to complete a
supply of services form. The form will identify the types and amount of waste that you are generating.
